A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Is the comfort worth it?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also look great.

Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
